What is AmAble?

AmAble is a local not-for-profit organisation offering individual supports, programs & resources for NDIS & privately funded participants, seeking independence, building connections & friendships and actively engaging within the community. We constantly strive to build more programs, resources & quality supports for our participants, families & the local community.

We have an amazing and hardworking team of staff that allow us to provide families & participants with the supports, activities and new experiences to create life long memories and meet their long & short term goals. AmAble is a neuro-affirmative provider, meaning we do not believe in curing or ‘fixing’ neurodiversity but rather embracing and advocating for understanding of neurodiversity in our society.

We provide a variety of services including:

  • Individual Supports & Peer Mentoring
  • Respite & Short Term Accommodation
  • Community Access Support
  • Social, Skill Building & Special Interest Programs
  • School Holiday Social Programs

A Little Bit About Us

Our original Programs Centre in Belmont is home to the early beginnings of AmAble and is affectionately referred to as #10. With the development of our new customised program space, #10 has started to transition back toward a social safe space for our participants, it is stocked with activities and entertainment for all ages and still houses our awesome fully equipped quiet space, chill out zones and kitchen, as well as a backyard decked out with it's own jungle gym, basketball hoops, chalk art walls and outdoor chill out zone.

Here you will also find our admin team, often popping their heads out and catching up with everyone when they're not hard at work creating new experiences and ensuring consistent and quality support for all of AmAble's participants.

We are constantly striving to expand its capacity in what we can offer our participants, and actively engage in and organise fundraisers, open days & various other community relations. For the latest updates, more information or to simply see what we're all about, follow us on our socials & regularly check out our website to keep up to date!
